Mo has been married for over 20 years to his college sweetheart, Ellen, who has sacrificially supported Mo through the most challenging of circumstances in ministry together. Ellen has under-girded the work in a variety of ways including being a model homemaker and mother, serving on the board of their ministry and as Mo’s personal assistant, aiding in grant writing and other fundraising initiatives, and hosting hundreds if not thousands of meetings and Bible studies. They have been able, together in the midst of those challenges, to raise four beautiful children: Lindsay (15), Lacey (14), Maggie (11), and Manning (9).

Mo, It is hard to believe how much time has passed by since we last saw you. Your ministry is an awesome tribute to your love for the Lord and people who are normally unloved by the “normal” church…Your family is beautiful and I am so delighted that you have a loving, supportive wife. You have worked hard for the Lord, but that is nothing new….you have always been a testimony to others. I love you and am delighted to know where you are and what you are doing.

Love to you all,
Joyce Ivey

It is great to hear that not only are you coming to Corpus Christi, but also that you are bringing your message, ministry, energy, and music here. Welcome!

Just wanted to stop by and say how much I appreciate your ministry, yes, your message, amen, but most of all I appreciate your music. And to hear Emily play with you last Sunday at FBC was a real delight to this mother who dared to pray that one of her children might be gifted musically. (While praying that prayer, I decided why pray for just one? Consequently, i have another son who plays bass guitar, and another who plays lead electric guitar, piano, drums and writes and mixes music. He also plays in a church up north and is helping a youth group get off the ground musically.) I say this not that *I* might have any glory, but to draw attention to what the Lord can do with the simple prayer of a mother. Isn’t HE awesome? When I hear them play, my heart swells from the love he has shown me in this one answered prayer.

Hey Mo, Glad to see you are still laboring in the vineyard.. The impact the Internship had on my thinking and approach to ministry has proved invaluable during my time in Jackson. I’m still here married with two children and back for my second stint at Voice of Calvary. Stay encouraged my brother!!!

Mo, I want to thank you for sharing your time with us this past summer. Few people have I known that are as hospitable, transparent, and full of compassion for “the least of these” as you are. We love you, and you’re in our thoughts and prayers often. Keep your hand to the plow and be encouraged..our Lord is using you mightily. We look forward to seeing you in ‘08.’
