Ministry Background
Mo founded Desire Street Ministries in the Desire Housing Project community of New Orleans in 1990. He served as Executive Director and President until September 2006. Rebirth International was founded during Fall of 2006 with a focus toward the revitalization of urban communities stateside and worldwide through the word and work of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While in the Desire neighborhood, Mo distinguished himself as one of the leading urban ministry entrepreneurs in the country. He built a multi-faceted work including a church plant, medical clinic, church alliances, an urban private Christian academy, community center, and economic development initiatives among other endeavors toward a more desirable neighborhood. Despite the devastating effect of Hurricane Katrina, Mo’s work is still recognized as one of the best new models for community revitalization in this nation. Mo consults with various ministries throughout the U.S. and inspires many to new urban ministry works in this country and internationally.

Hi Mo … my wife and 2 boys had the pleasure and blessings of hearing some of your music this past Wednesday at Christ Community in Daytona. My step daughter is actually in Gatlinburg with Campus Outreach (Florida) so she obviously didn’t get to hear you. Just wanted to take a minute to thank you for bessing us …

Thanks again and i hope our paths cross again. May God richly bless you for all you’ve done and continue to do for His Kingdom and His glory.

YBIC,

Rami
