How Do I purchase sheet music for Mo’s songs?
Specifically I would love to be able to play Waiting and Onward Christians on my guitar and sing to friends…
I saw Mo play these songs live and they mean a great deal to me. I am currently fighting Stage 4 malignant cancer and use playing spiritually driven music as part of my therapy.

Dear Ross,
I published a little book called Poetic Justice – which was a compliment to my compilation CD of the same title. It has, among other things, the chord progressions of those two songs in it. There is no sheet music – frankly there’s not enough of a demand for it to inspire the expense. However, I’d be happy to talk with you personally and lead you through how I play each song. Also, though I have only a handful of those books left, (most of them were destroyed in the floods of Katrina), I would be pleased to send you a copy if you’ll give me your address.
Also, I might just consider showing up and teaching you the songs myself! I am praying for you during this dark hour in your life. I will pray for your healing and for your encouragement throughout the dilemma. Feel free to contact me directly – 504.616.7344.

Dear Mo-
Sorry for the delay—this darned biological chemotherapy is kicking my butt. God’s Grace and His Glory keep me strong, as does my faith in Him. I am quite pleased and extremely flattered with your response. Poetic Justice stays in my car CD player most all the time (BOTH of them). Your music moves me as does your mission in life.
I met you once at Northland Church when you came here to Orlando I believe it was back in 2003. Would love a copy of your book and am happy to make a donation to your foundation. My Address is Ross Parker 735 Osteen Cemetery Road Deltona, Fl 32738…
I will call you when I am feeling and doing better and can talk about your music and how I may help you with your ministry. You are an awesome individual whom God has blessed with amazing talent. Unquestionably if you came here some day both Rosalind and I would drop dead…LOL….
God Bless You Mo!
Your friend-
Ross Parker

What was the hardest aspect of moving to the 9th Ward of New Orleans? Did you go in knowing a church or ministry already serving there with which you could partner, or no?

Will,
I came to New Orleans with The Evangelical Free Church of America to be part of a church planting team called – The New Orleans Project. I worked with Glen Schreiber. Together we started Urban Impact – which still exists and is doing a good work in Uptown New Orleans. Then I began to focus on the Desire Projects as my particular ministry. Other than Glen – I didn’t know a soul.
The hardest aspect for me in moving to the 9th Ward of New Orleans – hmmm….let me see…
Moving into the 9th ward was not difficult really – or it didn’t seem difficult to us because we were so clearly called to the work. But there were gun shots going off every night and many killings – some right around our house.
The hardest aspect though was managing administratively while advancing the ministry. It was also difficult to manage the expectation of the donor community with the messiness of the gospel among the poor. I could elaborate I guess – but that’s mainly it. Thanks for asking.
